2025 MAIN SEASON

Labour of Love by John Graham-APRIL

Directed by Kym Clayton

British Labour MP David Lyons cares about modernisation and “electability”… his constituency agent, Jean Whittaker cares about principles and her community. Set away from the Westminster bubble in the party’s traditional northern heartlands, this is a hilarious clash of philosophy, culture and class against the backdrop of the Labour Party over 25 years as it moves from Kinnock through Blair into Corbyn… and beyond?

Neighbourhood Watch by Lally Katz-AUGUST

Directed by Lesley Reed

80-year-old Hungarian-Australian refugee Ana lives in an Australian neighbourhood with her wartime memories and aggressive dog. She clashes with some neighbours, but befriends one, young actor Catherine, who is also haunted by the past. Life lessons come for each from a poignant mutual dependence. In an often funny, at times suspenseful and dreamlike story with over 25 characters, we move from 2007 Australia to Hungary’s dangerous, WWII past and back again.

The Revlon Girl by Neil Anthony Docking- November

Directed by Olivia Jane Parker

In an unexpectedly funny story set in the mid-1960s, a group of Welsh mothers with a common history meet weekly in a leaky, bare function. The women realise they’ve let themselves go a bit over recent months, though everyone else would quietly understand why. When a beautiful stranger comes to town, her arrival brings an uplifting of spirits that’s full of humour, heart, wonderful characters and the indomitable human will to move on.
